NZ Movie Theater
Bringing the "at home" movie experience to the big screen is something that I have always wished I could do. Being able to see new movies on a big screen from the comfort of my couch with food and drink readily available.... only in my dreams right?

Paradiso is the movie theater in Wanaka, NZ that is making my dreams come true. This theater truly stands on its own when it comes to movie theaters. It has a single movie theater connected with a bar/cafe.

When you go to a movie here it is a complete experience. You show up and buy a ticket along with any drinks and snacks that might interest you. This is also when you can order from their full menu if you would like to have appetizers or dinner served to you with your movie.

Next you step inside the theater where you pick from stadium style seating of various couches, recliners, and of coarse the infamous VW bug. It really is like watching a movie at home, just with the benefits of a real movie theater screen and sound system.

Once the movie is about halfway through its showing there is a quick intermission. This intermission is the main reason that I check every morning to see what movies are playing that night. During intermission you line up at the cafe counter to buy the best freshly baked homemade cookie you may ever have.... Chocolate chip, double chocolate or ginger white chocolate! How could you ever resist the smell of freshly baked cookies during a movie??

Cuddle back up into my couch and enjoy my cookie as the movie continues and this is end to possibly the best movie theater experience I will ever have. Really why hasn't anyone thought of this before!?
